1. Data We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit personal data to our servers. The tool runs entirely in your browser.

Local storage: We store a random anonymous ID, your theme preference, your session count, and any star rating you submit. This data never leaves your device.

Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect anonymous usage statistics — page views and feature interactions. No personally identifiable information is shared. You can opt out via your browser's ad-blocking tools.

2. Browser Extension

The Chrome extension runs content scripts on web pages to detect Chinese characters and display a floating widget. It does not read, store, or transmit page content. It only communicates with hsk-tutor.com when you interact with the widget or icon.

3. Third-Party Services

Google Handwriting API: When you use the Draw feature to recognize a character, your drawn strokes are sent to Google's handwriting recognition API. This is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Analytics: Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies

We do not use cookies. We use localStorage for storing your preferences locally on your device.

5. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the tool after changes constitutes acceptance.
